Cotton Candy Machine Instructions:

  1. Place the machine on a flat, stable service such as a table or countertop.
  2. Turn the handles on the left and the right of the machine to perpendicular to release the machine head.
  3. Place the large aluminum bowl on the machine base. The bowl sits on the machine base, there are no fasteners. Attach the mesh screen to the inside of the bowl using the plastic clips.
  4. Before plugging in the machine, make sure both switches (power and heat) are flipped to the off position.
  5. Plug the machine into a standard outlet. Directly into a GFCI outlet is the most preferred.
  6. Before turning the power switch and the heat switch to the on position, fill the head of the machine with the floss/sugar. Fill the machine head with enough sugar to just cover the top of the white screw head. DO NOT OVERFILL. MAKE SURE MACHINE IS TURNED OFF WHEN ADDING MORE SUGAR.
  7. By hand, rotate the machine head and left and right to balance the sugar.
  8. If available, place the pink bowl cover on the aluminum bowl at this time.
  9. Turn the main power switch on (the machine head will start to spin)
  10. Turn the heat switch on. Turn the heat dial all the way to the right (strongest setting possible) to quickly start making the cotton candy. After the machine starts to produce cotton candy, turn the heat setting back to half-way.
  11. Keep hands away from the spinning head.
  12. Take a cone and while spinning the cone in your fingers, circle the inside of the aluminum bowl to collect the cotton candy onto your cone.

TO CLEAN THE MACHINE, please turn the heat dial all the way to high, and run the machine until it stops producing cotton candy. Turn off the heat and the power switch. Unplug the machine. Rotate the left and right handles back to parallel. Wash the aluminum bowl and the bowl cover with soap and water.
